About

Wicked Bella

Drinking Wine Since

1975

The story never before told of how Wicked Bella came to be. As a single mother Tracy began making baskets to brighten others day. When she had a friend going through a hard time such as divorce or cancer diagnosis she would be there with a shoulder to cry on and a basket filled with irreverent goodies that would make anyone’s hard time a little more bearable.

These baskets all contained many different things special for the occasion but what they all had in common is a GREAT bottle of wine.

As Tracy’s love and knowledge of wine grew she started attending wine tasting. When she went to Italia for the first time she knew deep down that being in those vineyards is where she was always meant to be. She walked through the grapes and smelled their sweet aroma. It was what some would call magical.

She knew then that her calling was to bring the amazing wines to the world! So have a look through our selections of wine hand picked and beautifully curated by Wicked Bellas own Tracy Finnegan.

The Art of Wine Making

Wine-making is an age-old process perfected by wine makers in Italy. First then crush the grapes by machine or foot. Then they ferment the juice with yeast which converts grape sugars into alcohol and carbon dioxide. Next they clarify the wine. Then they do a process called malolactic fermentation which deacidifies the wine and makes it smoother and more complex. Finally, they bottle the wine and let it mature.

Sparkling Wine

A wine with significant levels of carbon dioxide in it, making it fizzy. While the phrase commonly refers to champagne, European countries legally reserve that term for products exclusively produced in the Champagne region of France.

Red Wine

A type of wine made from dark-colored grape varieties. The actual color of the wine can range from intense violet, typical of young wines, through to brick red for mature wines and brown for older red wines.

White Wine

A wine that is fermented without skin contact. It is produced by the alcoholic fermentation of the non-colored pulp of grapes, which may have a skin of any color.
